As I got closer to the Spain border, I started seeing these forts on the hilltops.

It's so odd to me that you can just drive into another country, like we do with states. Spain is my 19th country.

The terrain was changing and getting so pretty.

After about 1.5 hours of driving, I stopped for gas in Jerez de los Caballeros. The lady was so nice, she had to pump the gas. I think that's a requirement. At least that is what I was getting from our broken English/Spanish convo. She hugged me goodbye.

The wildflowers were everywhere.

Another hilltop fortification. It's so cool. I drove for another 1.5 hours and stopped in Las Pajanosas for some food.

I had to pull over and enjoy this view. The picture doesn't do it justice. The weather was perfect and it was so peaceful.

I arrived about 7:30pm at my place in Algeciras, Spain. Here is my route for today.
