Sintra: Hike to Sintra from Moorish Castle- 22 Mar 2024 Part 3

We left the Moorish Castle and followed the most stunning trail into Sintra. It took us about 35 minutes, and we took our time. Most of it was downhill, some steps, some natural trail. There were a couple upward spots. I highly recommend it.

The trail started right by the pathway to the Moorish Castle. We are staying in the fairy tale world.

It was a pretty easy trail, a mix of steps and natural trail.

We continued on the path toward Villa Sassetti.

Villa Sassetti is right in the pathway between the Moorish Castle and the city of Sintra. It's a circular tower with turrets and a sundial. Made a nice resting point.

The walk continued to get more beautiful with lots of little waterfalls and flowers.

If I wasn't so hungry, I would have spent a lot more time on this trail.

We went right by Parque das Merendas, but hunger prevented us from exploring it.

We made it to Sintra city. Now to find a restaurant.
