We, four very tired people arrived at Cabo da Roca. This is just what we needed. It instantly reenergized us. The boys and Dorte went swimming but it was way too cold for me. Just sticking my feet in made them numb.

I wanted to come here since it's the Western most point of Europe (the mainland). This is where people used to think the world ended so they called it the Edge of the World. Careful Flat Earthers.

It wasn't the best weather but so invigorating after all the walking.
There is a certificate you can buy that states you were at this location. I didn't want to part with 11 Euros so I didn't get one.

Absolutely beautiful! Maybe the foggy mist added to the beauty, but I wondered what it would be like on a clear day.

After at least an hour and worrying about the boys getting hypothermia, we made our way to a beachside restaurant.

We ate at Casa da Gale, sitting on the porch, watching the ocean. It was the perfect ending to the day. I had a salad with goat cheese and some kind of crouton. Very good.
We drove back to the Airbnb. It wasn't quite an hour. Everyone was ready for bed.
