Algeciras, Spain - 25 Mar 2025

This is my cute little place. A little scary when those lemons fall, but it will be a great place to work.

I have this nice secure, secluded courtyard. My car would fit inside but those doors are heavy. That's my new friend on the balcony. Not everyplace comes with a watch dog.

To be honest, I am very tired. It was a great and busy weekend, followed by a long drive. But I have a few hours before I have to start working, so it's off to explore Algeciras.

Well, that didn't go as planned. I drove around for 30 minutes and could not find anywhere to park, including the parking garages. Onto Plan B, I just had to figure what that was.

I decided to drive down the coast. If the weather is good, you can see Africa. This is not Africa but very pretty.

I pulled into an old fort that Google Maps listed and was told to leave, it was a military area. No arguments from me! I drove to Mirador Punta Carnero, which is on the edge of Parque Natural Del Estrecho. I was really surprised to find some many people with cameras. I was a little intimidated walking into this group.

Apparently, there was some bird migration going on. I don't know what the birds were, but the cheers told you when one made an appearance.

I didn't stay long. But that's Africa. I am taking a ferry there in a few days.

On the way back, I stopped at Faro Punta Carnero. It was fenced in, so this was as close as I could get. That's Africa in the background.

This is looking across the Bay of Gibraltar and that is Gibraltar. I plan on going there tomorrow.

A very beautiful drive. I stopped at a grocery store on the way back. What should have been a quick stop felt like forever. It took a while for me to translate everything and figure out what to buy. It was fun though.

Here's my route for today.
