Amsterdam - 11 Nov 2023

I am not sure we could top yesterday. It was so much fun, and we saw so much. My feet hurt but it's worth it.

We took the ferry across the river to go up in the A'DAM building.

The views were terrific.

Even though I walked forever yesterday, I didn't realize how big Amsterdam was.

We were hanging out in the indoor viewing area until the rain stopped when we saw a double rainbow.

Once the rain stopped, we headed to the rooftop. We are going to do the giant swing also known as OverTheEdge.

The swing was fun. I didn't find it scary. It only lasts about a minute and it's long enough.

We rode the ferry back and went for breakfast. Pancakes Amsterdam was right by the ferry. We shared gingerbread raisin pancakes and poffertjes. I am a big fan of poffertjes.

More walking to burn up those calories. This is the train station from across the canal.

Basilica of St. Nicholas is hard not to notice.

We went inside, which was so pretty.

There are some really interesting areas. FYI if you want coffee do not head to a Coffee House. Coffee houses are for cannabis, obviously it's legal here. Coffee is available in cafes.

Everywhere you look, it's like a painting.

Interestingly the Red Light District is right next to a church and a daycare.

I never would have thought picking out chocolate would be so hard.

There was some kind of demonstration taking place here all weekend.

I wonder if they have boats that clean your windows for you.

I wanted to try Bitterballen, so we stopped at De Oude Wester. I also tried this beer, which was really good.

It was decided that we would take a Sightseeing Canal Cruise. This was so much fun. It was unlimited drinks and cruising for an hour. I didn't really see too much, because I was having so much fun talking with the guide and other passengers. Once we docked, we headed for food at Pizza Beppe Quattro. It was delicious.

I had one more thing I wanted to try. Stroopwafel. We watched them make it. It was really good.

We went to a really packed Irish Pub with live music for a while. Then headed for bed.
